Textile Art in County Durham

I am a textile artist based in East Durham.

I work with a variety of textile techniques including embroidery, applique, weaving and felt making to create pieces inspired by the local area and much further afield.

I have travelled widely and use inspiration from around the world investigating traditional textile techniques and materials.

I have a special interest in African textiles and give talks on African fabrics to interested groups. The piece to the right is an example of batik work, a common technique used in Africa and around the world.
