I had the chance to visit the Futureland Now exhibition at the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle for the second time. Seeing the exhibition with a different group of people gave a completely new insight into the work being exhibited by John Kippin and Chris Wainwright.
The first time I visited the exhibition was with colleagues from work. The discussion surrounding the photographs on display were very much from a personal point of view, however with a group of OCA students and tutors, a much more in depth disussion ensued and the meaning and intention of the artists discussed.
Having the opportunity to view the photographs a second time gave time to absorb the images I had seen the first time around and I felt much more able to talk open and interpret the images.
