I have just received my quilt back from the Embroiderers' Exhibition of the 'Mining a Golden Seam' textiles at the L’Aiguille-en-Fete trade show in Paris. This quilt is very difficult to photograph but Joy has managed to capture it in the lights of the exhibition hall. This is all very apt as the 30th anniversary of the start of the Miners Strike has just passed. This quilt is becoming more precious to me each time I see it and fortunately is back at home for a while until the next outing of the exhibition.
